CASE STUDY: Uniqlo
Pop-up Store Displays
Challenge
- Uniqlo is a Japanese designer and retailer of casual-wear apparel known for providing high-quality everyday clothing with attention to detail.
- With thousands of stores globally, but only a few dozen in the United States, Uniqlo wanted to make a splash as it entered the Texas market by using three-pop-up displays.
- Each of the displays needed to be no larger than 8' x 8', convey the brand story, highlight featured products and be quickly set up and disassembled.
Solution
- Acrylic Design's sister company, Bolster, designed three pop-up booths to tell the Uniqlo brand story while sparking curiosity for the soon-to-be-open retail locations.
- Acrylic Design Associates provided full-service fabrication for the custom displays – including integrated LED lighting, interactive elements and modular components that allowed for future use.
Results
- Acrylic Design was able to produce and install the pop-up displays on a short deadline.
- The pop-ups helped generate buzz for the full-size stores, which opened with long lines up to 500 deep.
- More pop-ups are planned, going forward.
